8TH International Symposium on Deformation Characteristics of Geomaterials

This symposium will focus on the understanding of the deformation properties of geomaterials before failure, especially on the small-strain stiffness parameters as fundamental characteristics of geomaterials, and their implications in geotechnical design. Key themes include experimental investigations from very small strains to beyond failure; behaviour, characterization and modelling of various geomaterials and interfacess; and practical prediction and interpretation of ground response: field observation and case histories.

Accepted abstracts will be notified for submission via the ISSMGE Conference Review Platform. Draft paper submission will include two options for conference contributions as:
- “Journal type” paper for ASTM Geotechnical Testing Journal
- Standard “Conference type” for publication in the Conference Proceedings
